De Stad Gent wil samen met de Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen, de Vlaamse Gemeenschap, de Universiteit Gent (UGent) en iMinds een multimediale site creëren aan de Waalse Krook. 

Een nieuwe hoofdbibliotheek is een belangrijk onderdeel van dit project.

The City of Ghent cooperates with the Province of East-Flanders, the Flemish government, the university of Ghent (UGent) and iMinds to create a multi-media site at the Waalse Krook. A new main library is an important part of this project.
