With its 60,000 students, Ghent is the largest student city in Belgium. Thanks to the unique combination of first-class education and various leisure activities, our city attracts a considerable number of students. With its university and four university colleges, Ghent is able to offer a wide range of study opportunities.

Being a student is more than just studying. It also includes living, transport, nightlife, cultural experiences, extra earnings, leisure,… The Ghent Municipality tries to make student life as practical and pleasant as possible in every field.

On this website you can find information about the educational offer, everyday life in Ghent, the steps you should take to register and to meet the administrative regulations, and - of course - the numerous ways to spend your leisure time.
